Wow. When we started this endeavour in 2019 we could have never dreamed that we would end up here. We’ve grown from a Berlin startup to a full-fledged international operation, with employees from over 40 nations and new properties opening every few weeks—all within two years. As we’ve developed, our identity has shifted and evolved as we found our groove and connected with our guests. We set out with a clear goal: stir technology and taste together in the world’s greatest neighbourhoods to create stays that are unashamedly original, and that match how people feel when they travel. We’re proud to say that the results show we’ve accomplished that goal. However, we can—and want to—do even more. So we’re taking the next step. As we move forward, we want to visualize a brand that reflects our role as an industry maverick and our vision to bring some soul to travel. We know what you’re thinking. What does this mean for the most important people in our lives: our guests? We took a look at what wasn’t working: the lines, the lobbies, that classic hallway carpet, and we replaced them. Don’t worry; we kept the good parts. Contactless check-in, 24/7 guest services, local recommendations, and all the amenities you can ask for. The comfy mattress. The sustainable coffee. Those little conditioners we love so much. And we’ve added some style. Some spark. Some soul. We’re replacing the unnecessary fuss with some much-needed simplicity and delight. Putting extra effort into designing our spaces with personality and character. At the same time, we’re listening to guest feedback and input more than ever, so we can continue to meet—and exceed—expectations.
As numa continues to grow (and believe us, we’re growing), we’ll be bringing soul to travel in a ton of exciting ways. You just have to get here, and we’ll take care of the rest. We’re doing everything we can to treat everyone to the feeling of comfort, the beauty of convenience and the delight of design. And it’s only getting better.
